Looking up at the active crater terrace where the NE spatter cone has been destroyed in the 3 July 2019 paroxysm. Continuous strong degassing created fresh white deposits just below the edge of the terrace which are partially covered by recent overflows. The darker deposits in the bottom left part of the Sciara represent the previous lava flows, dating back to August 2014. (Photo: Ingrid)
